What Is the Maximum Angle My System Can Handle?
This is a great question, and to be honest, it’s difficult to give a single definitive answer. The maximum incline a system can handle varies by brand and design, this is because each levelling system brand has different brackets and hydraulic rams. Which means one brand on one make/model of vehicle will lift slightly higher than another brand. But none of the brands will lift higher in all situations.
Hydraulic leveling systems will lift your motorhome or campervan to a higher level, the higher the lift, the greater incline. If the levelling system fitted to your vehicle will only level within the range of the suspension, you will be limited on achieving level.
All levelling systems are engineered to accommodate standard campsite inclines, so if you plan to stay on purpose built campsites, electric or hydraulic levelling should meet your needs.
But if you plan to go off grid, consider a hydraulic system, as the lift is greater. Before purchase, ask the installer to confirm the amount of lift available from the system they are selling.
