TESA Levelling Explained

A TESA levelling system uses hydraulic legs fitted to your motorhome to automatically level the vehicle when parked. With a simple control panel, the system adjusts each leg to bring your motorhome into a stable, level position within minutes.

This removes the need for ramps or manual adjustments, making setup quicker, easier and far more precise—especially on uneven pitches or challenging terrain.

TESA levelling systems are designed to fit a wide range of motorhomes, but compatibility depends on factors such as chassis type, vehicle length and overall weight. Each installation is tailored to ensure the system performs safely and effectively.

A professional assessment ensures you get the correct setup for your specific motorhome, giving you confidence that the system will work reliably and as intended.

The installation time for a TESA levelling system usually  takes two days, depending on the complexity of your motorhome and the specific system being fitted.

This includes securely mounting the hydraulic legs, integrating the control system and carrying out full testing to ensure everything operates smoothly before handover.

TESA levelling systems are built to handle uneven ground and moderate slopes, automatically adjusting each leg to achieve a level and stable position.

While extremely steep or unsafe angles should still be avoided, the system significantly improves comfort and usability on typical campsite terrain where manual levelling would be difficult.

When professionally installed, a TESA levelling system offers excellent stability by evenly distributing the weight of your motorhome across its hydraulic legs.

This reduces movement inside the vehicle and creates a firm, secure base, making it safer and more comfortable whether you’re parked overnight or for longer stays.

TESA levelling systems are designed to be low maintenance, but like any mechanical system, they benefit from periodic checks to ensure everything remains in good working order.

Routine servicing may include inspecting hydraulic components, checking for leaks and ensuring smooth operation, helping to extend the lifespan and reliability of the system.

“We arrived at Llanfyllin, and it was raining so hard it was difficult to find our plot. Once parked up, it took just 90 seconds as we let our automatic levelling system get us level. Thank you, Bristol Caravans, for fitting our amazing levelling system.”
