If you have answered yes, you could be just the person we are looking for!
We are a caravan, motorhome, camper van workshop looking for an individual to support our existing team. Training will be given to support learning and development.
Although small, we are a mighty team, working together to meet the customer’s caravan, motorhome, or camper van needs.
In some cases, vehicles are handmade, bespoke and worth more than a Ferrari, can you work to that standard?
We are looking for a self-motivated team player, with a positive can-do approach to life and work. This exciting opportunity will suit somebody with an interest in vehicles, who enjoys the challenge of working outside the norm. Customer interaction forms part of the role, therefore presentation and high quality communication are essential. We are working towards a paperless environment, which means you will need to be computer literate and comfortable reporting observations through text and photos. A successful candidate will be able to use their own initiative, take pride in their work, welcome a varied workload and work within timescales. Ability to adapt to the company’s needs in the way we deliver our service, be comfortable with change, and an ability to prioritise tasks are key attributes we seek.
This is a permanent position for the right candidate to start as soon as possible.
You are probably working for a car/light commercial dealership or independent workshop and you want more, fancy a change, want to be challenged or just want to feel valued as part of a successful team, where someone says “thank you” for your work. You have your own hand tools, and take pride in your work.
This is a hands on physical role, inside (rarely outside) tasks and includes maintenance / repair / accessory fitting jobs, some examples include:
Mechanical service and repair work to a high standard,
Cam Belt replacement motorhomes & camper vans (example: Fiat Ducato, Peugeot Boxer),
12v fault diagnosis & repair,
Fitting of accessories and equipment as needed,
Application of underbody rust prevention products,
Vehicle movements, caravans, motorhomes, campervans,
MOT failure repairs to motorhomes & camper vans.
Are you a safe pair of hands…. can you help?
You will be able to competently follow instructions and use initiative to overcome complications, record and report all aspects of your tasks using IT to ensure compliance and audit trail.
Physically fit, able to lift, work at height, work outside.
Clean full driving licence, enabling you to drive motorhomes up to 3.5T and tow caravans.
Over 21 years, to drive on our motor trader insurance policy.
Excellent english skills, to communicate verbally and in writing.
Able to accept instructions, action tasks, report findings.
